The cricketer bought the Jaguar F-Type sports car last year. It is a full CBU import, which means only completely built units of the model are imported to India from England, where it is manufactured. The sports car is quite quick and is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder supercharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 295 Bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. An 8-speed ZF torque converter automatic transmission is standard with the car.
It is an RWD car and can hit a top speed of 249 km/h. It can do a sprint of 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Jaguar Land Rover also offers a quicker variant that comes powered by a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine. It generates a maximum power of 444 Bhp and a peak torque of 580 Nm. It can do a 0-100 km/h run in just 4.6 seconds while the top speed is limited to 285 km/h.
Mohammed Shami is also a biker at heart. He owns a Royal Enfield Continental GT650, which is a cafe-racer-styled motorcycle. Priced at Rs 3.5 lakh for the Mister Chrome variant that Shami owns, it is the most expensive variant of the Continental GT. The motorcycle is powered by a 647cc, parallel-twin air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 47 Bhp and a peak torque of 52 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission with a slipper clutch as standard.
Rishabh Pant’s high-speed accident
Rishabh Pant had a miraculous save from the said accident, which happened in the early hours of 30th December 2022 on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. In this accident, the Mercedes-AMG GLE SUV was being driven by Rishabh Pant at a very high speed, before it collided with a road divider.
In this crash, the GLE overturned a couple of times, before burning completely into ashes. The time between the collision and the SUV burning into ashes was merely 5-7 seconds, within which Pant managed to come out of the car by breaking the windscreen. Pant has come back to his senses but has suffered from injuries on his back, head and feet.
