Indian motorcycle launches 2017 Springfield in India

The iconic brand of motorcycle from America, Indian motorcycles launches a brand new product in the Indian market. The new cruiser motorcycle known as the Springfield was launched at a price of Rs. 31.07 lakh, ex-showroom, Gurugram.

This is an all-new Indian motorcycle and is named after the birthplace of the historic brand, which is based out of Springfield, Massachusetts, USA. The motorcycle is crafted to show extreme detailing and is massive in size.

The cruiser has used a lot of chrome and the legendary monogram of Indian brand is also placed on the front fender of the motorcycle. There is one main headlamp and two auxiliary lamps as standard that increases the brute look of the motorcycle even more.

The Springfield is powered by Thunder Stroke 111 engine that uses a 1,811cc V-Twin engine. The massive air-cooled engine produces a maximum of 138.9 Nm of peak torque at only 2,260 rpm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. The motorcycle looks massive and heavy too. It weighs 630 kg with all the fluids like engine oil, brake oil in place.

The Springfield gets a long list of equipment as standard like the ABS, adjustable floorboards, tyre pressure monitoring system, keyless start and more. There is a separate gauge for the fuel indicator that is located on the tank itself. The main console mounted on the handlebar has electronic speedometer with integrated odometer, digital tachometer, fuel range, battery voltage, gear position display, clock, low engine oil pressure and low fuel warning indicator. Additional accessories like quick release windshield, quick release saddle bags and heated grips that can be very useful for long distance riding.

You can book the motorcycle at any of the five Indian dealerships throughout India. The Springfield will compete against the likes of Harley-Davidson Street glide, Moto Guzzi MGX-21.
