Indian Roadmaster cruiser motorcycle is actor Madhavan’s latest ride

Actor R.Madhavan is a diehard biker. The actor has now gifted himself a cruiser – the Indian Roadmaster. The Roadmaster is the most expensive cruiser that American bike maker Indian sells here. Indian is a competitor of Harley Davidson in the cruiser motorcycle space. Over the years, he has owned multiple high-end motorcycles, from the Yamaha V-Max to the BMW K1200 GTL. He recently bought a Ducati Diavel, an Italian power cruiser.

The Roadmaster is priced at Rs. 47.57 lakhs in Mumbai, making it one of the most expensive cruisers on sale in India. In fact, this bike is more expensive than many Audi, BMW or Mercedes Benz cars. The bikes uses a 1,811cc V-Twin four stroke engine that produces 150 Nm of brute torque at just 2,900 rpm.

This engine drives the rear wheel through a belt drive and has a six speed manual gearbox. The bike is equipped with ABS and disc brakes on both wheels. The bike is very heavy, with a kerb weight 421 Kilograms, and has a 140 mm ground clearance. Needless to say, riders have to keep these facts in mind.

There are many features on the Roadmaster that makes it a great cruiser. It has cruise control, a windshield that can be adjusted electrically to move up and down to deflect wind from the rider’s chest, heated seats and grips for cold weather conditions, adjustable floorboards to accommodate various rider heights comfortably and a 64.4-litre storage trunk at the rear that comes with remote locking. Another key feature on this bike is the 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers navigation and entertainment functions. A 200 watt stereo is also a part of standard equipment on the bike.
