India’s 6 CHEAPEST fully faired motorcycles: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 to Honda CBR 250R

Fully faired bikes were once a rarity in India, and were confined to expensive imports. Now though, there are no less than half a dozen fully faired sports bikes, all priced at well under Rs. 2 lakhs. Here is the full list.

Suzuki Gixxer SF

Suzuki Gixxer SF is the cheapest of the fully faired bikes sold in India, and is priced at only Rs. 1.01 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering this Japanese bike is a 155-cc fuel-injected petrol engine, producing 15 Bhp power and 14 Nm of torque. The Suzuki Gixxer SF’s top speed is 127 Kmph. Brakes are managed by discs up both front and back with single channel ABS on offer.

Hero Motocorp Karizma ZMR

After a year-long break, the Hero Karizma ZMR is back, and is now priced at Rs 1.08 lakh. The bike is powered by the same 223-cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine putting out 20 Bhp of power and 19 Nm of torque. It is the most powerful bike sold by Hero MotoCorp in India. The motorcycle has a top speed of 129 Kmph, and gets disc brakes at both ends. Sadly, ABS has been given a miss yet again.

Yamaha R15 V3.0

The Yamaha R15 V3.0 was launched at a price of Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and now costs Rs. 1.27 lakhs. The motorcycle is powered by an all-new 155-cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 19 BHP and a peak torque of 14.8 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a first-in-segment standard slip and assist clutch unit. The R15 V3.0 is the first motorcycle in its segment to feature variable valve actuation.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200

The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is priced at Rs 1.38 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is powered by a 199-cc single cylinder engine with DTS-i technology, producing 24 Bhp of power and 18 Nm of peak torque. The 6-speed manual gearbox helps in touching the top speed of 140 Kmph. Braking is handled by disc brakes up both front and rear, with single channel ABS as standard.


The KTM RC200’s price starts at Rs.1.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The RC200 is powered by a 199-cc liquid-cooled and fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine producing 25 Bhp of peak power and 19.2 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Braking is via disc brakes at the front and rear. ABS is not offered yet, even as an option.

Honda CBR 250R

With the tag of most expensive bike in this list, the Honda CBR 250R retails at Rs. 1.94 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The fully faired Honda is powered by a 249-cc single cylinder petrol engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling. This motor makes 26 Bhp of power and 22 Nm of torque. Dual disc brakes at both ends with ABS make sure there is no lack of stopping power. Top speed is rated at 135 Kmph.
