India’s BEST modified cars – Part XIV

Here are 5 cars that make it to India’s best modified cars XIV’th edition.

Toyota Corolla Evo’d

The Toyota Corolla isn’t a car you will call sporty. It is mostly chosen by those people who want a comfortable car that provides peace of mind. The previous Corolla came with only a 1.8 liter engine making 125 Bhp and 158 Nm.

360 Motoring has made a boring car look really interesting. They have replaced the front end of the Corolla with the face of a Mitsubishi Evo X. The headlamp cluster is shaped exactly like that of the Evo and has LEDs now. There is a massive front grill that extends into the bumper, just like all new Mitsubishis.

It is only when you have a look at the back that you realize that this is a Corolla. The tail lamp cluster is the same but has been smoked. There is a new rear bumper with a diffuser and dual exhaust tips on each side. The car also has side skirts and upgraded alloys.

Ford Endeavour

The Ford Endeavour has just undergone a massive make over. The previous vehicle was in the market for a really long time and came with 2 engine options on offer. The only downside of the previous Endeavour was the fact that the interiors were too old school and didn’t feel special and the car didn’t look intimidating either.

This Endeavour has been modified by Backyard Customs of Jammu. The vehicle features a new off-road bumper with auxiliary lights. The ground clearance has been increased with the help of a 5″ lift kit and an off-road suspension.

The roof now gets a LED light bar as well. The headlamps have been upgraded to a projector unit. There is now a snorkel and the fenders have been given a wide body look. The vehicle is now equipped with 17″ rims wrapped in Mudzilla tyres to make the car more capable off-road.

Hyundai i20

The i20 is an elegant vehicle and is the main choice if someone is looking for a premium hatchback. This owner decided he wanted to make his elegant vehicle more aggressive.

He has opted for a wide body kit courtesy Drift Automotive Design which includes a new bumper up front and the back, new side skirts and new wheel arches. The car has been lowered courtesy new lowering springs and a Tein suspension. The car now sits on 16″ BBS rims.

Under the hood, the car gets a new K&N intake system. The roof has new Thule Roof bars for added practicality as well.

Mahindra Bolero

The Bolero is a rugged utilitarian vehicle which mainly sells in tier 2 cities due to its practicality and ease of servicing. This owner though spruced up his Bolero to make it look more suited to the urban jungle.

The owner has changed the grill up front and the bumper as well. The new bumper has auxiliary lights as well. The lights are aftermarket ones and have projectors. The bonnet has been changed as well and has an air scoop. The roof has additional lights as well, something that you see on the Hummer.

Maruti S Cross

The S Cross isn’t a very popular vehicle due to the segment it sits in. However, the vehicle is extremely capable no doubt. The 1.6 liter engine making 118 Bhp and 320 Nm is massively powerful and with the new price cut, the car makes a lot of sense.

This one pictured here has been given a boost in power with the help of a race dynamics tuning box. There are remaps available for the vehicle as well but a tuning box is a plug and play device, thus making it easier to install and remove. The boost in power is estimated to being around 150 Bhp and 390 Nm for a remap. The vehicle sits on 17″ multi spoke rims now.
