India’s first Hyundai Exter modified with aftermarket alloy wheels: This is it! [Video]

Hyundai recently launched its entry-level SUV, the Exter, in the market. It is a micro SUV that directly competes with the Tata Punch in the segment. A detailed review of the all-new Hyundai Exter is available on our website and YouTube channel. The Exter has already started reaching dealerships, and deliveries for the same have also begun. Not only have people started taking deliveries, but many of them have also begun modifying the SUV. Aftermarket accessories for the Exter have started arriving in the market, and here we have a video where an SX variant of the Exter is modified with aftermarket alloy wheels.

The video has been uploaded by Prabhi Singh on their YouTube channel. The owner of this Hyundai Exter came directly to the workshop to get aftermarket alloy wheels installed. The Exter seen in the video is the SX model, which comes with almost all features except for the alloy wheels. It comes with flex wheel covers that look like alloys on the outside.

The stock wheels on this SUV are 14-inch units. The owner initially wanted 16-inch units. As this was the first car to arrive at the workshop, the shop tested with a couple of sizes. The video also showcases a couple of other designs available for the Exter and other vehicles. Initially, the workshop installed 16-inch wheels to test the fitment. They looked fine, but the edges of the tires were rubbing against the cladding when the wheel was turned. The owner then decided to go with 15-inch units only.

The workshop owner can be heard saying that 16-inch wheels can be installed in the car if the owner opts for low-profile tires. However, the owner went ahead with 15-inch units. Both the stock wheels and tires were replaced. The tires installed on this SUV were slightly wider than the stock units. The 15-inch alloy wheel design was the same as the 16-inch units. The new set of alloy wheels looked great and gave the Exter an aggressive overall appearance. Other than this, the original TPMS sensor was also working with the new wheels.
