India’s first Mahindra Thar with Neon Green wrap looks stunning

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular 4×4 SUV one can buy in India. The SUV became popular among buyers for its rugged looks and off-road capabilities. In comparison to the older generation Thar, the current version has improved a lot. The SUV is so popular that there is currently a waiting period as long as an year on the SUV. Mahindra Thar is also a suitable car for customisations and we have seen some well executed examples across the country. Here we have a video that shows a Mahindra Thar that comes with a Neon Green wrap on it.

The video has been uploaded by Musafir Aka Joshi on their YouTube channel. The Mahindra Thar seen in the video is quite unique as it is probably the only Thar in the country to get a Lime Green or Neon Green wrap on it. The wrap looks extremely good and has changed the overall character of the SUV. Some customisations have been made to the SUV to pair well with the new wrap.

This is a LX hard top variant and all that plastic trims and matte black panels on the SUV have been completely blacked out. The front grille gets a gloss black finish and so does the front bumper and the cladding on the wheel arches. The ORVMs and the roof has also been finished in black. The hinges on the bonnet and the door are painted in black and the company fitted alloy wheels have also been painted in black.

The Neon Green wrap used on this Thar is from Avery Dennison. Other noticeable change on the SUV are the headlamps. The stock headlamps have been replaced with aftermarket LED units with ring type dual function LED DRL in it. Mahindra Thar is currently the most affordable 4×4 SUV in the country. In comparison to older version it has improved a lot. It bigger in dimensions and offers more space and features.

Mahindra Thar is available in AX and LX trims. AX is the base variant while the LX is the higher. Mahindra is offering a soft top, soft top convertible and hard top option for Thar from the factory. The SUV now comes with features like a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, roof mounted speakers that are drizzle resistant, front facing seats for rear passengers, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control and so on. Mahindra Thar comes with 4×4 as standard.

Mahindra is said to be working on a much more practical version of Mahindra Thar which would be a 5-door version. The 5-door Thar is expected to be launched in the market in 2023. Mahindra Thar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion series engine. This engine generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged engine that generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic transmissions.`
