Mahindra XUV700 took the market by storm when it was launched in the Indian market. It became very popular among buyers. We have not yet seen many customized Mahindra XUV700s in the market but here is one. This XUV700 has been wrapped in Nardo Grey.
The Nardo Grey paint scheme became popular because of Audi. They were the first ones to use the Nardo Grey paint shade for their performance vehicles. However, now many customization shops have started to offer the Nardo Grey wraps and even paint. Because of this, many people have been wrapped their cars for a more sporty look.
The XUV700 here is wrapped in a glossy Nardo Grey. The wrap is not doing justice to the character lines of the XUV700. Because of this, the XUV700 looks a bit dull and bland. As of now, we do not know whether any changes were also made to the interior or not.

From the pictures, we can see that the whole exterior of the SUV has been wrapped in Nardo Grey. The alloy wheels, roof rails, grille and plastic cladding are still in the original colour. Overall, the SUV does stand out from the crowd because of its unique colour. The stock colours of the XUV700 are Everest White, Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Red Rage and Midnight Black.
Prices and variants
The price of the XUV700 starts at Rs. 12.95 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 23.79 lakhs ex-showroom. It is offered in two trims. There is MX and AX. The MX Trim is offered only as a 5-seater whereas the AX is offered as a 5-seater as well as a 7-seater. The AX Trim is further divided into four variants. There is AX3, AX5, AX7 and AX7L. According to some media rumours, Mahindra will also introduce a 6-seater version which will come with two captain chairs for the second row instead of a bench seat.
Engine and gearbox
Mahindra is offering the XUV700 with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 200 PS of max power and 380 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The 2.2-litre diesel engine is offered in two states of tune. The MX Trim gets a lower state and the AX Trim gets the more powerful state of tune. In MX Trim, the diesel engine produces 155 Ps of max power and 360 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to only a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the AX Trim, the engine produces 185 PS of max power. If you get the 6-speed manual gearbox then there is 420 Nm of peak torque and if you get the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission then the torque output is increased to 450 Nm.
The XUV700 is also the only SUV in the segment that is offered with an optional all-wheel-drive system. It is offered only with a diesel engine with an automatic gearbox. It is not a proper 4×4 system like you get on Thar. But the AWD can still be helpful in tricky slippery situations.
