India’s first Maserati Quattroporte GTS arrives; Pictures here

India’s first Maserati Quattroporte GTS has arrived in India and it is priced at Rs. 2.7 crores, approximate ex-showroom. The Italian luxury car manufacturer has officially got the vehicle in India and the first customer is from Delhi. The vehicle shown in the picture is covered in a safety cover but the door reveals the cover of the vehicle. It is finished the royal blue shade with ivory white interiors with wooden trim. The exact price has not been revealed as it includes a certain level of customisation.

The 2018 Quattroporte GTS made its global debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle is offered in two trims – GranLusso and GranSport. The GranLusso trim is for luxury lovers that come with a lot of chrome inserts, body coloured side skirts, bumper spoiler, 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with blacked out brake callipers. The latter variant gets a sporty theme. It gets sculpted body angles, aerodynamic splitters and painted black central spoiler and side inserts.

The four-door luxury saloon car is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that churns out a maximum of 522 Bhp between 6,500 and 6,800 rpm. The torque maximizes at 710 Nm between 2,250 and 3,500 rpm.

The engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The vehicle is quite fast and can do 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 310 km/h. The vehicle also gets an Overboost mode that squeezes out every ounce of power from the engine. The transmission is quite sophisticated and is linked to an auto-adaptive software. It learns the driving style and times the shifts accordingly.

On the inside, the vehicle gets 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus (MTC+) infotainment system that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The vehicle also gets 900 watts, a 10-speaker system from Harman Kardon. Maserati also offers 1280 watts, 15-speaker optional unit from Bowers and Wilkin.
