India’s first officially delivered McLaren supercar is here

Over the years, popularity of supercars have been increasing in India. India is a growing market for such products and holds a lot of potential. British car maker is one such brand who has realised the same and has announced their official entry into the India market. They just did not announce the entry but, also delivered their first car officially to the customer. McLaren delivered a 720S Spyder to West Bengal based businessman Parveen Agarwal.

Parveen Agarwal is a real estate developer from West Bengal. What makes this 720S Spyder special is the fact that it is the first McLaren to be officially delivered in India. The sales and service for McLaren in India is handles by Infinity Group. Prices for the McLaren starts at Rs 3.72 crore and go up to Rs 5.04 crore. Parveen Agarwal has opted for the 720S Spyder which is the top-end version costing Rs 5.04 crore, ex-showroom.

 

Talking about the McLaren 720s Spyder, Parveen has mentioned it on his Instagram page that his car gets Elite Yellow shade, carbon fibre racing seats, carbon fibre steering column, super-light weight forged alloys, telemetric kit, sports exhaust, stealth pack and luxury pack. These additions would have definitely taken the price of the car up. The 720S Spyder is powered by a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged engine. The car generates 720 Ps and 770 Nm of peak torque.

The 720S is available in both coupe and spyder configurations in India. Both of them can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed of McLaren 720S is 341 Kmph. The Spyder version has a convertible roof and it takes around 11 seconds to open or close. It can be operated under 50 kmph speed. The McLaren 720S will actually rival with cars like Lamborghini Huracan and Ferrari F8 Tributo.

McLaren 720S Spyder is not Parveen’s first supercar. He has a good collection of sports and luxury cars. He is quite popular in the super car community. He owns a variety of cars and superbikes in his garage. He has bikes like Harley Davidson Fatboy, Kawasaki Z800 and country’s only MV Augusta F4R.

Coming to the collection of cars, he has a Bentley Continental GT. It is powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine that generates 626 bhp and 900 Nm of peak torque. Continental GT costs around 3.5 crore, ex-showroom. The McLaren 720S Spyder is surprisingly not Parveen’s first McLaren. He also owns a 570S coupe. This supercar is powered by a 3.8 litre V8 engine that generates 562 Bhp and 600 Nm of peak torque. He owns it in the signature Orange shade too. It is the only McLaren 570S coupe in India.

He also has a Lamborghini Aventador S in his garage. The all black Aventador he owns has Orange pinstriping on it. It is powered by a 6.5 litre V12 engine that generates 729 Bhp and 690 Nm of peak torque. He also owns Mini Cooper S convertible. Other than this, he also owns Rolls Royce Ghost Series II, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, BMW X7 SUV and many more luxury cars in his garage.
