Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India moves around in style. A resident of Mumbai, Maharashtra, whenever the Ambani family moves around, the neighbourhood gets to know. Earlier, we told you how Mukesh Ambani travels to his work in his armoured Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a convoy of security cars. It actually was the most expensive car convoy of a private citizen in India. This new convoy, again from the Ambani family has now become the most expensive one that we have spotted.
The video by CS12 Vlogs shows the convoy of cars from the Ambani garage. The convoy comprises the most expensive Rolls Royce from the Jio Garage, which the family bought last year. In the middle of the convoy is the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB. The most expensive production Rolls Royce available in the brand’s catalogue at present. It costs a monumental Rs 14 crore, on-road, in Mumbai.
Guarding the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB are Land Rover SUVs. The pilot car is a Land Rover Range Rover Vogue that costs around Rs 2 crore, on road. There are two more of them trailing the convoy and safeguarding it. Yes, there is a humble Mahindra Scorpio of Mumbai Police in the convoy too but we will not add its value.
A Rs 20 crore convoy
The Ambanis own one of the most expensive vehicles in India. Even the security cars are exotics like the Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography, Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, Range Rover Vogue, Land Rover Discovery and more such cars. The family owns multiple luxury SUVs including a few Bentley Bentayga, a couple of Rolls Royce Cullinan, Maserati Levante and many others.
One should note that Mukesh Ambani never travels in the Rolls Royce cars or any other vehicle other than his designated ones. That’s because Mukesh Ambani has Z+ security and only travels in armoured vehicles. He has three of them. One from BMW and two from Mercedes-Benz. Also, the family never travels together even if they are going to the same destination. That is why sometimes more than one luxury vehicle is present in the convoy.
The reason for not travelling together is again the threat to the family. If something happens to one of the cars, the other vehicles in the convoy carrying other members of the family remain safe.
Rolls Royce Phantom VIII EWB
This latest-generation Rolls Royce Phantom utilises the new aluminium spaceframe platform, which Rolls Royce calls “Architecture of Luxury”. It is lighter by 30% when compared to the predecessor. It is also one of the largest Rolls Royce ever but is 77mm shorter, 8mm taller and 29 mm wider than the predecessor.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII gets a larger 24-slat chrome grille, new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. The design inspiration comes from a yacht and it gets a dual-tone shade that makes it look like a grand vehicle. The Rolls Royce Phantom Series VIII gets 130 kg of sound insulation that makes it one of the most silent vehicles in the world. Further, there are 6mm double-layered sound-proof glazing on each window.
