The Maruti Alto has been one of the most affordable cars in the country. It is an entry level offering from Indian manufactrer and was recently updated to meet the BS6 emission norms. It is powered by an 800-cc, petrol engine and is available with CNG option as well. It is only available with a mnaual gearbox and the higher variants are now offered with a touchscreen infotainment screen also. Maruti sold a total of 7,298 units of Alto in the month of June 2020. These numbers are 61 percent lesser than the units sold in the same month last year.
Hyundai recently launched the all-new generation Creta SUV in the market during lockdown. Just like older generation Creta, the all-new version is feature loaded and looks futuristic. Hyundai managed to sell 7,207 units of Creta in June 2020, which is 14 percent less than the figures from June 2019. It is available with two petrol and one diesel engine option, and the 1.4 litre turbo petrol is only available with DCT gearbox. The 1.5 petrol and diesel engines are offered with manual and automatic gearbox options.
The Kia Seltos has been a popular vehicle ever since its launch. Just like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos is also available in three engine option and all 3 engines are available with manual and automatic gearbox options. In June 2020 Kia Motors sold 7,114 units of Seltos. Kia Seltos is a feature loaded, bold looking SUV and competes with Hyundai Creta in the segment.
