Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has caught the attention of a lot of people in the Indian market. The muscular, beast of a vehicle is now offered in a new ruby red colour. The new colour is in addition to the existing portfolio of Orchid Brown, Cosmic Black, Titanium Silver, Obsidian Grey and Splash White.
There is no extra price on the new colour offering. The car is still priced at Rs. 13.16 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The lifestyle pick-up vehicle has become quite popular in the Indian market due to its looks, features and affordability. The double cabin pick-up truck comes with standard features like automatic climate control, steering wheel mounted audio controls, 6-way adjustable driver seat, 60:40 split rear seat, a multi-information display and a 7-inch touch sensitive infotainment system.
The car remains mechanically unchanged. It is powered by a 2,5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The engine has an output of 134 Bhp at 3,600 rpm and the torque peaks at 320 Nm between 1,800 rpm and 2,800 rpm. The pick-up truck gets the five-speed manual transmission and comes equipped with the 4WD system.
The V-Cross offers a shift-on-the-fly 4X4 system that allows the vehicle to shift between 2H to 4H and vice-versa on the move. There is also a 4 Low mode where the car produces maximum torque to get the vehicle out of the sticky situations. The body on ladder frame gives the V-Cross a lot of agility and reliability. Safety-wise, the D-Max V-Cross comes equipped with features like airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist (BA) as well. The rear seats also get ISOFIX hooks for the child seat.
The V-Cross is one of its kind offerings in the segment, and there are no competitors in the market. There is Scorpio Getaway in the lower segment, but a lot of people skip the option due to lack of features.
