Japanese automaker Isuzu will give its best-selling pick-up truck – the D-Max V-Cross – a facelift in February 2018. The facelifted pick-up truck is expected to be showcased at the upcoming 2018 Indian Auto Expo. Coming to the changes, the facelifted model will remain similar to the outgoing version in terms of mechanicals, but with a host of new features, in terms of cosmetics, safety and creature comforts.
Talking of the design changes, the 2018 V-Cross Facelift will receive a new tail gate design, new side steps, refreshed tail lamps, daytime running LEDs on the front bumper and a chrome finish for the rear bumper. On the inside of the vehicle, a 6 way power adjustable driver seat, rear view parking camera, leather seats and a new stereo unit.
In terms of safety features, the vehicle will get traction control, ESP, cruise control and electronic stability control. Due to the various feature additions, the price of the V-Cross will be revised upwards. Mechanically, the pick-up truck will continue to feature the 2.5 liter turbocharged diesel engine as standard.
This engine produces 134 Bhp of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque, and comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Rear wheel drive is standard while the four wheel drive layout can be activated through a shift-on-the-fly knob placed on the center console. The Isuzu V-Cross is India’s top selling lifestyle pick-up truck, and the facelifted model should increase sales further due to the useful changes.
The facelifted V-Cross will be sold in two variants, Standard and High. The Standard variant will be priced at Rs. 14.27 lakhs while the High variant will be priced at Rs. 15.77 lakhs, both prices ex-showroom Andhra Pradesh. Currently, the V-Cross is priced at Rs. 14.27 lakhs. Isuzu dealers are said to have already started bookings for the facelifted model.
