Jaguar XKR special edition launched at Rs.1.27 crore

Jaguar-Land Rover has launched its new XKR special edition models in both coupe and convertible variants. The ex-showroom price of this special edition model is Rs 1.27 crore (Mumbai pre-octroi).

There are minor changes on both the inside and outside. The interiors sport scraffito grain leather on the seats, instrument binnacle, door and rear quarter casings. It comes with Poltrona Frau leather for the head-linings. There is also a new interior colour called Shadow Walnut.

Other interesting features on the XKR include 16×16 way heated performance front seats, a 525W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, unique tread plates and stainless steel pedals. Buyers can get their piece of exclusivity with the “Celestial Black” paint job that is offered only on the XK special edition. It is also offered in Crystal Blue, Lunar Grey, Polaris White, Rhodium Silver and Ultimate Black.

Jaguar’s Director of Design Ian Callum has helped create two exclusive artisan interior color combinations for the Special Edition models; a Navy with Jet headlining and Truffle with Canvas headlining. Moreover the convertible hood colors include Black, Blue, Grey and Brown. Another small change on the exterior is the addition of new 20-inch alloy wheels which have a polished finish. The XKR models sport 5.0 litre, supercharged, V8, petrol engines that make an impressive 503 bhp of power. All this coupled with features like adaptive dynamics system (which monitors the suspension),  electronically-controlled active differentials (that maximizes traction), a six-speed AT transmission with paddle shift, a seven-inch touch-screen navigation system, adaptive front lighting etc all make the XKR a well packaged, luxurious and sporty vehicle.
