One year after the launch or rather relaunch of Jawa brand in the country with models like Jawa (Classic) and Jawa 42. Classic legends recently launched their third bike Perak for Indian market. Jawa Perak is a bobber and one of its kind. Perak is the first bike from an Indian manufacturer to roll out as a factory custom bobber. It also happens to be the most affordable bobber available in the country right now. The Jawa Perak is launched with a price tag of Rs 1.94 lakh, ex-showroom. Here is a detailed image gallery of the recently launched Jawa Perak motorcycle.
With Perak Jawa has started a whole new segment of affordable factory custom bobber in the country and for that reason it has no direct competition. Jawa Perak has a unique design language which is typically seen in a bobber style motorcycle. with everything stripped down except for the essentials, it is quite minimalist which is what exactly a bobber should be.
The bike has a low slung stance and its fenders have been chopped off to reveal the fat rear tyre. Other elements which make it unique are those gorgeous bar-end mirrors, round-shaped headlamp unit and a handlebar having relaxed riding position. The single piece seat adds to the character of the bike and the tail light is placed right under the seat It gets a telescopic suspension at the front and monoshock for the rear. Icing on the cake are the mean looking matte black paint job with golden streaks and the unique bobber styled exhaust pipe.
Talking about the engine of the Perak, it is basically the same engine used in the Jawa (Classic) and Jawa 42. The only difference here is that it now has a bigger bore. The Jawa Perak uses 334 cc, four-stroke, fuel injected, single-cylinder unit that produces a maximum power of 30 Bhp and 31 Nm of torque. The engine is BS 6 compliant. Jawa Perak gets dual channel ABS as standard as per the new safety norms.
Even though Jawa has launched Perak, bookings for the bike will only be starting from January 2020 and the deliveries for the bike will be starting from April 1st next year. Just like the other two Jawas (Jawa and Jawa 42), we hope Perak also gets an overwhelming response from the buyers.
Both the Jawa 42 and Classic will get the more powerful 332cc engine from the Perak. The bigger engined variants will be positioned above the regular variants. A launch by the middle of 2020 is likely for the bigger engined Jawa Classic and 42 models.
