Jawa motorcycles made their way back to Indian market in 2018 with two models Jawa or Jawa Classic and Jawa 42. Both the motorcycles became a huge success and the motorcycles had a long waiting period of up to 6 months. The Jawa Classic and Jawa forty two have now become a very common sight on our roads. As part of their first year anniversary, Jawa motorcycles launched their third offering to Indian market, Jawa Perak last year. Jawa Perak is a bobber style motorcycles and is one of a kind in the segment. This is the first time that an Indian manufacturer was offering a factory custom bobber to its customer. Here we have a video of the Perak that checks out the top speed of the motorcycle.
The video has been uploaded by Dino’s Vault youtube channel. The video starts by explaining the design, looks, features and engine of the motorcycle. The Jawa Perak looks like a proper bobber styled motorcycle with low slung single seat that is suspended in air, fat rear tyre, chopped rear fender, twin exhausts that look like straight pipe spoke wheels, monoshock suspension. The bike comes in a single shade of matte black with golden pin striping that gives it a premium touch and looks unique.
The rider then takes the Perak on a straight stretch of road to test the top speed of the motorcycle. He starts picking up speed and within no time, the motorcycle had reached the top speed. Exact time taken by the motorcycle to reach the top speed is not known but the analog meter on the motorcycle had recorded a speed close to 140 kmph mark which is good for a bike of this segment. throughout the video, the grunty exhaust note of the Perak can also be heard.
After the run, rider was pretty impressed with the way Perak rides, the engine and even the exhaust note. The Jawa Perak is powered by a BS6 compliant 334-cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine producing 30 Bhp and 31 Nm of peak torque. Jawa Perak does not have a direct competition in the segment at this price tag. Jawa has priced Perak at Rs 1.94 lakh ex-showroom and have started taking bookings too. Deliveries for the same will start from 2nd of April 2020. The Perak is the least priced Bobber in India, and there is a lot of interest around the motorcycle. The next cheapest Bobber is the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, and is priced at over Rs. 10 lakh.
