The sub-4 meter SUV segment has been getting more and more competitive over they years. It currently consists of cars like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Breeza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 among others. American SUV maker Jeep is also planning to enter this segment a brand new product. The compact SUV from Jeep is called Avenger and it has been showcased internationally. Here we have a walkaround video Jeep Avenger that shows what the exterior and interior of this upcoming SUV would look like.
The video has been uploaded by crospotter13 on his YouTube channel. Jeep unveiled the Avenger at Mondial Paris Motor Show. The manufacturer has showcased the electric version of Jeep Avenger at the Motor Show. Along with the electric version, Jeep is also working on a petrol version of the same SUV. It is a mid size SUV with a design language which would remind you of Compass or other Jeep products. At front, there is Jeep’s signature seven slat egrille with silver outlines. The front grille and the area around it is finished in gloss black and it looks like one big black strip. The headlamps are included in this section. They are all LED units. Just above the headlamp is the sleek LED DRLs. The bumper of this SUV gets a design similar to what we have seen in Compass. The lower part of the bumper gets black cladding and the LED fog lamps are integrated in it. There is a silver faux skid plate at the front as well.

The model seen here gets front parking sensors too. Coming to the side profile, the SUV gets 18 inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The wheels change the overall stance of the SUV. The side profile of the Avenger looks boxy like other Jeep SUVs. As we move to the rear, there is a squarish all LED tail lamp unit with X-shaped LED elements in it. A jeep badging, rear windscreen wiper, integrated roof mounted spoiler, reverse parking camera and sensors, black cladding on the rear bumper are also seen in the video. As this is the EV version, E badge can be seen on various panels.
Moving to the interior, the Jeep Avenger EV gets a premium looking cabin. We are not sure, whether it would be the same when it hits Indian market. There is fully digital instrument cluster, floating type touchscreen infotainment system, that supports smartphone connectivity. As this is the EV, the central console looks very empty and there are lot of storage spaces. In the petrol version, it might get a different design. According to reports, Jeep will be offering a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine with the Jeep Avenger. This is the same engine that is already available with the top-end Citroen C3 in India. Just like C3, Avenger will only come with a manual gearbox initially. Jeep will be launching the Avenger in European market initially. The launch in expected to happen in the first half of 2023. When launched here, it will be the cheapest and entry level SUV from Jeep in India.
