It added that it will be a truly limited vehicle with very limited quantities arriving.

Jeep India on its Twitter page shared the teaser saying, “Happy 5th Anniversary to the Jeep Compass! Celebrating #5YearsOfAdventure and to mark this milestone we’re introducing the 5th Anniversary logo; a badge marking our years of excellence. Stay tuned for more! #JeepIndia #JeepLife #JeepCompass #Adventure #OIIIIIIIO” Although it offers no new information about the future special SUV model, We can perhaps anticipate some minor aesthetic changes or new colour schemes. Additionally, the Compass’ 5th Anniversary Edition model will come in a small quantity and have new badges to emphasise the special edition concept.

The Jeep Compass made its India debut in July 2017 and for a while, it remained the only model in its portfolio. Currently, the company offers the Compass along with Meridian and Wrangler but the compact SUV remains to be the sales topper for the brand in the country.

As for the changes in the new forthcoming limited edition model, it will largely be the same as the outgoing model and will come with almost no mechanical changes. It will still retain the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine or the 1.4-litre turbocharged Multi-Air petrol engine. Currently, the diesel engine produces 170 PS of max power and 350 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to only a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol engine produces 160 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission only.
