Notably, the Black Pack edition is based on the Compass Limited (O) trim and is available with petrol-automatic and diesel-manual 4X4 variants. While the Black Pack petrol-automatic variant is priced at Rs. 20.59 lakhs, the diesel 4X4 trim costs Rs. 22.03 lakhs. Deliveries of the new variant will begin this week.

Talking of the changes on the Jeep Compass Black Pack, the SUV gets blacked out bits on the outside and inside. On the outside, there’s a blacked-out roof, wing mirrors and alloy wheels. On the inside, the SUV gets an all-black theme while features remain unchanged.

The Compass Black Pack is available in three paint schemes: Vocal White, Minimal Grey and Magnesio Grey. Mechanically, the Black Pack edition remains unchanged from the regular variants. This means that the petrol engine is a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit with 160 Bhp-250 Nm, front-wheel driven and with a 7-speed twin clutch automatic gearbox.

The diesel is a 2-litre, turbocharged unit with 170 Bhp-350 Nm, and a 6-speed manual gearbox. An all-wheel-drive system is on offer while a front-wheel-drive layout is standard. As for features on offer, the Black Pack trim gets all the safety features and creature comforts that the Limited (O) trim gets.

This includes a 7.0-inch system touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, armrests at the front and rear, reverse parking sensors and camera, push-button start with keyless entry, six airbags, traction control, ESC, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, cornering front fog lamps and rear fog lamps.

In the coming weeks, Jeep will launch a new top-end variant of the Compass, called the Limited Plus. The Limited Plus will come with a panoramic sunroof, automatic wipers, electrically adjustable seats and many more new features, and will be the range topper.
