Jeep Compass Limited Plus: In-depth video tour explains all

Just yesterday, Jeep India launched a brand new variant of the Compass SUV. The Limited Plus sits at the top of the Compass line-up as the range-topper. Prices start from Rs. 21.07 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, and the SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Here is an in-depth video that tells you everything you need to know about the new range-topping Jeep Compass. As the video indicates, the Limited Plus variant of the Jeep Compass gets a range of features. The exteriors of the SUV get the following additions: a panoramic sunroof with Anti Pinch and wind deflector, a motorized sun-blind for the entire sunroof, bumper inserts at the front and rear, chromed exhaust tips, 18-inch dual tone chrome wheels and V V-rated Bridgestone tyres.

On the inside, the additional features include powered driver seats with lumbar support and memory function, auto dimming internal rearview mirror, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A black colour scheme is standard for the interiors. The additional features come at a price premium of about Rs. 91,000 over the Limited variant.

The petrol-powered Limited Plus variant of the Jeep Compass is powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged motor with 160 Bhp-250 Nm on tap. This engine gets a 7 speed twin clutch automatic transmission on this variant. Paddle shifters are standard, and so is a front wheel drive. Prices start from Rs. 21.41 lakhs.

The diesel-engined Limited Plus Jeep Compass is sold with front wheel drive and four wheel drive variants. The four wheel drive variant costs Rs. 22.85 lakhs. The engine on both variants is the same 2 litre turbocharged unit with 170 Bhp-350 Nm.

Jeep will launch a new top-end variant of the Compass early next year. The new variant will be called the TrailHawk and will be based on the diesel-engined version. It will have a 9 speed torque automatic gearbox, a range of off-road specific feature enhancements and a price tag that makes it the costliest Compass on sale in India.
