Jeep Compass Trailhawk features revealed before launch in India

Jeep Compass Trailhawk is one of the most awaited SUVs in India. It will be the top-of-the-line variant of the brand in India and will also be its most capable one. The Indian version of the Trailhawk will be slightly different from what Jeep offers in the international markets. Here are all the features that the Indian version of the Jeep Compass Trailhawk will get.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk features revealed before launch in India

The vehicle will be much more capable than the current variants of the Compass thanks to additional equipment that includes a Jeep Active Drive Low-range system. It is a 4WD system with a low ratio transfer case and it also gets a new ‘Rock mode’. The vehicle will also come with a panoramic sunroof and cruise control, both of which are missing from the other variants of the Compass at the moment. The Trailhawk also gets an all-black cabin theme, which makes it look much sportier.

The highly-awaited Compass Trailhawk will also offer the diesel automatic version. Currently, Jeep only offers an automatic transmission with the petrol engine. It will only get the 2.0-litre diesel engine option and a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. There will be no manual option with the Trailhawk.

To make it easily distinguishable from the rest of the variants, it gets a few changes on the outside. The changes include reworked bumpers that increase the approach and departure angle of the SUV. It also gets new 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-tone body finish, red recovery hooks, anti-glare bonnet paint, and 20-mm higher ground clearance from the rest of the Compass variants. With the extra features and the automatic transmission, the Trailhawk Compass is expected to be priced around Rs. 30 lakhs, ex-showroom in the Indian market. Reportedly, Jeep dealerships have already started taking bookings at a payment of Rs. 2.5 lakhs but there is no official news about the same. The Compass Trailhawk is expected to be launched by June/July this year.
