Jeep is India’s most trusted brand, according to TRA

The Jeep brand has emerged as India’s most trusted automobile brand. The American brand topped the ranking of the TRA’s Brand Trust Report 2019. The brand ranked second most trusted brand across the categories with more than 1,000 brands. Jeep has released an official video that says that the brand has been ranked above India’s largest e-commerce brand, smartphone brand and insurance website. However, the names of these brands are not mentioned.

Jeep has also mentioned that they have leapt from the 533 rankings last year to take the second spot in the rankings. This makes the Jeep brand an immensely successful brand. It should be noted that the Jeep brand officially entered the Indian market just 3 years ago.

Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said

“The investment and effort put into our brand in India is paying off. The Brand Trust Report ranking is a validation of our strategy to link Jeep and its heritage to freedom, adventure, authenticity and passion. The commitment and passion with which we have nurtured customer and business relationships have helped forge extraordinary bonds between the brand and the vehicle owners. The deep trust in the Jeep brand has resulted in strong bonds that have nurtured us. Not only has Jeep come to represent a way of life articulated by our ‘Go Anywhere. Do Anything’ motto, it has become a part of the Jeep owner’s identity. Jeep is an experiential brand globally and we believe in setting the stage for our customers and fans to experience the Jeep Life.”

Jeep currently offers a range of SUVs in the Indian market, however, only the Jeep Compass is manufactured back in India. In fact, Jeep exports the Compass to various markets around the world. Apart from the Jeep Compass, the American SUV maker also offers cars like the Wrangler, Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee. However, all these cars are CBU and come with a hefty price tag that makes it very expensive in the market.

The Jeep Compass is the entry-level model of the manufacturer and is also the best-selling one. Recently, the manufacturer launched the all-new Jeep Compass Trailhawk in the Indian market. The new variant is the most expensive version of the Compass and gets a 9-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission mated to the 2.0-litre diesel engine. It also gets a low-ratio transfer case, which is not available with the other 4WD models of the Jeep Compass. With a higher ground clearance and better approach and departure angles, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk can outperform any of the other variants of the model when it comes to off-roading. Jeep is also contemplating on launching an all-new compact SUV that will be positioned below the Jeep Compass in the Indian market.
