So far, 2022 has been a very happening year for car manufacturers in India. This year we saw the launch and unveiling of new products from manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and even Tata showcased their electric vehicle concepts. As we move into the second half of 2022, more car launches are lined up for customers. Here we have a list of three such exciting car launches that will happen in July.
Hyundai Tucson is currently the flagship model from South Korean car manufacturer in India. The fourth generation of the Hyundai Tucson which is already offered internationally will be launched in India on 13 July 2022. The fourth generation model which will now be launched in India was launched internationally back in 2020. It gets a design language which is recently seen on most of the other cars from Hyundai. The parametric grille with integrated LED DRLs gives it a distinct look.

Hyundai Tucson is expected to come with a long list of features like a premium looking cabin, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable seats, wireless phone charging, touchscreen infotainment screen, 360 degree camera and so on. Other than this, Hyundai will also offer ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance System with the new Tucson. This feature will offer features like lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance help, and autonomous emergency braking with forward collision avoidance.
The fourth generation Tucson is expected to come with same engine and transmission options as the outgoing model. There will be a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which will generate 152 Ps and 192 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine would be a 2.0 litre turbocharged unit that would generate 185 Ps and 400 Nm of peak torque. Both engine options are expected to come with an automatic transmission as standard.
Next car that would be launched in India is the C3 hatchback from the French car manufacturer Citroen. We drove the Citroen C3 in Goa last month and a detailed review about the same is available on our website. The Citroen is marketing C3 as a hatchback with SUV looks. It will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Baleno in the market. This is Citroen’s first product to be launched under the C-Cubed program. Citroen will be launching the C3 on 20 July 2022.
Citroen C3 is a product that has been developed and designed in India. It will be first launched in India and will also be exported to other markets from here. Citroen C3 will be offered with a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine. Citroen will be offering a number of customisation options for the hatchback from the factory.
Toyota recently unveiled their mid-size SUV Urban Cruise Hyryder in India. It is an SUV that is jointly developed by Maruti and Toyota. Maruti’s version of Hyryder or the Maruti YFG (codename) will also be unveiled soon. According to reports, Maruti is expected to unveil the YFG mid-size SUV on 20 July 2022. Maruti is likely to call this SUV by the name Vitara. In comparison to Hyryder, Vitara will get some cosmetic differences. The engine and transmission is expected to remain the same. There will be a strong hybrid and a mild hybrid version of the SUV on offer.
