Almost every car manufacturer in the world has either launched or is currently working on an electric car, and German car manufacturer BMW is no different. The luxury car manufacturer already has several electric cars in their lineup, including the BMW i7, which is the all-electric luxury flagship sedan sitting on top of the i-series lineup of electric vehicles. Recently, BMW officially launched the i7 luxury sedan in India, and it has already been purchased by many people, including celebrities. Essentially, the BMW i7 is the all-electric version of BMW’s 7-Series flagship sedan.
In a video uploaded by EVM Autokraft on their YouTube channel, we can see the delivery of Kerala’s first BMW i7 luxury sedan to its customer. EVM Autokraft is a BMW authorized dealer in Kerala. The video showcases the delivery process and captures the customer’s reaction upon seeing the car. Instead of visiting the dealership, the customer opted for home delivery, and the car was delivered to their house after being cleaned and securely loaded onto a closed truck. Home delivery of brand new cars is a service offered by many brands.
The owner of the new BMW i7 is a hotelier in Kerala, and he has been a loyal customer of BMW since 2009. He had been driving the BMW 7-Series for the past five years, and when he learned about the i7, he expressed his desire to buy it and have it be the first i7 in Kerala. The customer and his son got in touch with EVM Autokraft, and their wish was fulfilled. The BMW i7 sedan featured in the video is indeed the first electric flagship sedan from the brand in Kerala. The customer chose the Mineral White Metallic shade for his i7.
The i7 boasts a sleek and futuristic exterior design, characterized by a large, low-slung grille and a sloping roofline. Overall, its design is similar to the current generation 7-Series ICE version, but with distinctive blue accents, new alloy wheels, and “i” emblems to set it apart. The interior of the i7 is identical to that of the newest generation of the flagship sedan, the 7 Series. It features curved displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, measuring 14.9 inches and 12.3 inches respectively. The i7 is equipped with BMW’s latest iDrive 8 operating system and features a full-width light band. Additionally, there is a 31.3-inch, 8K “cinema” screen installed on the roof, which can be folded down to provide media streaming through Amazon Fire TV. In the back doors, there is also a 5.5-inch touchscreen that controls the infotainment system, climate control, and seating.
The BMW i7 is powered by two electric motors positioned on each axle of the i7 xDrive 60 model, providing 544 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 101.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a WLTP cycle range of 591 to 625 km. According to BMW, the i7 has a top speed of 239 kph and can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.7 seconds. The price of the BMW i7 is Rs 1.95 crore, ex-showroom.
