Kia Carens lower variant gets an upgraded speaker setup and other modifications

Kia launched its 7-seater MUV Carens in the market recently. Just like other products from Kia, Carens is also priced quite competitively. Kia Carens is based on Seltos platform and the manufacturer has managed to price it below Kia Seltos. The Carens has already started reaching dealerships and the delivery for the same has also started. People who are buying the base variant have already started looking for aftermarket accessories for the Carens. We have featured some modified Kia Carens on our website in the past. Here we have a modified Kia Carens that gets an upgraded speaker system and other customisations.

The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. In this video vlogger shows all the customisations that have been done to the car. The owner of this car has not gone for aftermarket alloy wheels and other modifications that normally customers go for. This is a lower spec Kia Carens so it comes with steel rims halogen headlamps and other features. The halogen headlamps on this MUV have been replaced with an aftermarket LED bulb for better illumination.

The other major customisation done to the exterior of this car is the clear film. As summers have started in most parts of the country. People have started looking for options to keep the cabin cool. All the windows and windshields on this Carens have been wrapped in premium quality heat rejection clear films. Vlogger even takes the customer inside the cabin while it was parked under direct sun. The owner was very impressed with the overall quality of the product and can be heard saying that he can feel the difference.

The vlogger has installed completely clear lens which means it is not going to be a problem when you are on the road. No other modifications have been done to the exterior of the Carens. Moving in, vlogger has done external and internal damping on all four doors. The customer wanted a better NVH levels inside the cabin and the base variant does not offer much padding under the door pads to absorb road noise. He was also looking for better sound quality as the stock speakers were not offering good sound output.

The speakers in the Kia Carens have been replaced with components from Sony brand. The touchscreen infotainment system in the Kia Carens is the same as stock as it is a very capable unit. Vlogger mentions that he is did not install a custom made seat cover for Carens as even the base variant is equipped with 6 airbags. He is working on a seat covert that is compatible with the airbags.

Kia Carens is a feature loaded MUV like other Kia products. The car comes with three engine options. There is a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5 litre turbo diesel and a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.5 litre petrol engine gets a manual and an IVT gearbox option. The 1.5 litre turbo diesel gets manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.4 litre turbo petrol gets manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
