Kia Carens X-Line MPV: What it’ll look like

Kia recently unveiled their third mass market product for Indian market Carens. The Carens is actually a three row SUV based on Seltos which is a very popular SUV in the segment. In short, Kia Carens is what Alcazar is for Hyundai. Kia Carens is expected to be launched in the first quarters of 2022. Kia Carens when launched will compete with the likes of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar in the segment. Remember the X-Line concept that Kia had showcased for Seltos couple of years ago, here we have a video where a render artist imagines how, the Carens X-Line would look like on video.

The video has been uploaded by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. The video starts with a regular Kia Carens and the artist makes some changes to convert it into the X-Line version. All the chrome elements on the Kia Carens were blacked out to give it a sporty look. Major change on the car is actually the wheels. The stock machine cut alloy wheels were replaced with a chunky looking mud terrain tyre.

The alloy wheels on this SUV are also different from the stock units. It is now a 5 spoke aftermarket all black unit. The chrome garnishes on the front grille and door handles were blacked out. The silver garnish on the lower grille was also blacked out and there is a faux skid plate installed on the car as well. The all LED headlamps, DRLs and the fog lamps are all retained.

Kia Carens X-Line version gets a dual tone paint job. The car now gets an Olive Green shade with a piano black roof. A roof carrier is also installed on the Carens. Other than these updates, no other changes can be seen here on the car. It must be noted that the Carens X-Line is jut a product of artist’s imagination and Kia currently has no plans to launch such a version in the market. Kia Carens as mentioned above, is a three row SUV based on Kia Seltos. Kia however is not calling it an SUV. They are calling it a Recreational Vehicle or RV.
