Kia Seltos Base HTE variant modified neatly into GT Line version

Kia Seltos is one of the most popular mid size SUVs in the segment and it competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq and recently launched Volkswagen Taigun. Ever since its launch in 2019, Kia Seltos has been a successful product for Kia in Indian market. It was also the first Kia product to be officially launched in Indian market. We have seen several videos and images of modified Kia Seltos from different parts of the country. Just like Creta, people have started buying the base variant Seltos and started converting it into a top-end version. Here we have one such video where a base HTE model of Seltos is modified to look like a GT Line.

The video has been published by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. The video starts by showing the Seltos when it had arrived at the workshop. It was the base HTE variant which came with steel rims, basic front grille, single projector headlamps and other features.

At Vig Auto Accessories, the car was completely transformed to a top-end GT Line version. Starting with the front, the base variant grille was replaced with top end version. The chrome garnish on both upper and lower part of the grille was also installed. The headlamps and turn indicators were also replaced with full LED units. The LED DRLs extending to the grille has also been installed. The front bumper on this Seltos was not replaced but, it now comes with ice cube shaped LED fog lamps.

Coming to the side profile, the car gets 17 inch GT Line alloy wheels, chrome door handles, door visors, roof rails, lower window garnish and electrically adjustable ORVMs. LED turn indicator is also integrated in that. The original position of turn indicator in base variant is on the fender and that has now been closed using a faux air vent finished in chrome.

At the rear, the halogen tail lamps are replaced for top-end all LED units. The chrome applique running between the lights have also been replaced. It also gets a shark fin antenna and roof mounted spoiler. The rear bumper on this SUV remains the same as before.

Moving inside, the owner has opted for several customisations. All doors get internal and external damping for improved NVH levels. The fabric seats now get a black and red custom fit upholstery which give it a sporty look. The steering and the seats all follow a common theme of black with red stitching. The gear knob has been replaced, an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system has been installed with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, audio control switches on steering has been installed, wireless phone charger, floor mats and other accessories.

Overall, the car looks pretty neat and figuring out the trim level by just looking at the car is going to be a challenge for many. Kia Seltos is available in three engine options. There is a 1.5 litre petrol, 1.5 litre diesel and a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine on offer. All these engine come with manual and automatic transmission options.
