Upcoming KIA Seltos compact SUV’s interiors leaked: Features revealed

Kia will unveil the production-ready version of its much anticipated Seltos SUV on the 20th of June this year, which means 10 days from now. It will be launched at a later date, most likely around the Diwali festive season this year. However, before the official unveiling event, the interiors of the upcoming compact SUV have been revealed thanks to Autopost Korea. The images below show a great deal of how the Seltos’s interiors will look like and what kit they will come with.

The Seltos was first showcased as the SP Concept at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Talking about the interiors of the car, one can see that the Seltos will come with all black interior interiors which seem to be quite premium in quality. The black leather seats seem plush while the piano black inserts on the dashboard and doors further take up the appeal. The front and rear seats both get hand rests which will result in better comfort. Cup holders can be seen in the door pockets as well as in the central tunnel, ahead of the front armrest. Moreover, the armrest gets storage space which could be a cooled unit, though the latter is not yet confirmed.

Another highlight here is the Bose music system Kia has equipped the Seltos with. This could be a treat for audiophiles who usually go for aftermarket audio solutions for their rides. Bose is renowned as one of the best audio solutions company in the world and we guess that the Seltos will have quite a rocking in-car entertainment scene. Moving on, the images show the presence of rear seat AC vents at the centre along with a 12V charging socket.

The legroom on the compact SUV seems to be adequate while the rear seats look quite supportive and comfy going by the images. However, the final verdict will be reserved for the official review of the Seltos that we will bring to you soon. Talking about the features Kia has stuffed the Seltos with, the compact SUV will come with a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, heads-up display, cruise control along with with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and coloured MID. Ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, cruise control, hill assist and multiple driving modes are other extras that the compact SUV will come with.

Talking about the engine options, the all-new Kia Seltos will come with both petrol and diesel engine options. Internationally, there will be a range of T-GDi engines available with the SUV including the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine generating around 120 Bhp. For the Indian market though, the Seltos is expected to get powered by the same engine options as the Hyundai Creta. However, since the launch of the Kia Seltos will happen by the end of this year, which is close to the BS6 emission norms implementation date and hence it will get the all-new 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option.
