Kia Seltos Facelift officially revealed: Bookings to open on 14th July 2023

Kia has announced the prices of the highly anticipated Seltos facelift, which comes with significant updates both inside and out. Bookings for the Kia Seltos will begin on July 14th, and existing Seltos owners will enjoy priority deliveries through Kia’s unique K-Code program.

The exterior of the Seltos has undergone significant changes, featuring a more prominent grille that has grown in size. The revised all-LED headlamps now include daytime running LEDs that stretch towards the center. The front bumper has been redesigned to accommodate the radar for the ADAS suite, and the fog lamp housings have been updated.

Apart from the new 18-inch alloy wheels, the side profile of the new Kia Seltos facelift remains unchanged. However, at the rear, the SUV now sports a new set of LED tail lamps connected by an LED light bar. The rear bumper has also been redesigned, featuring distinct designs for the Tech-Line and GT-Line variants.

The cabin layout of the new Seltos has undergone significant changes, including a revamped dashboard and several new comfort and convenience features. The dashboard now includes a new fully-digital cockpit with two 10.25-inch screens for the instrument console and infotainment system. The lower center console has been revised to include a new panel for the dual-zone automatic climate control, a first-in-segment feature.

Kia has introduced several new features in the Seltos cabin, including dual-zone auto AC, a full-TFT instrument console with multiple display modes, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a powered driver’s seat. Additional features include leather upholstery, six airbags, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and a wireless charger. The new Seltos also comes with an ADAS suite of features, including 17 autonomous safety features. It will be available in eight monotone colors, two dual-tone colors, and an exclusive matte color option for the X-Line variant.

Mechanically unchanged

The new Kia Seltos now offers two petrol engines and a diesel engine. The 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine delivers 115 PS of maximum power and 144 Nm of maximum torque, while the 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, shared with the Carens, generates 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed torque converter, CVT, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The updated Kia Seltos will continue to compete against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and the upcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.
