Kia Seltos is a highly anticipated car and is a much-awaited vehicle in the Indian market. Kia has officially started taking bookings of the vehicles and it has received a massive response in the market. However, the Korean manufacturer is yet to officially release the details of the vehicle. Avinash Acharya has sourced the official brochure of the Seltos before the launch and here are all the details that you want to know.
A lot of information has been revealed by the brochure including the colours and variant-wise features. The Kia Seltos will be available in five variants. There are eight monotone colour options that will be available with the car while an additional five dual-colour tones will be available too.
The monotone colours will be available throughout the variants. However, the five dual-colour variants will be limited to the HTX, GTK and GTX variants. Also, depending on the variants, customers will get to choose from the 17-inch crystal cut alloy wheels, 17-inch hyper metallic alloy wheels, 16-inch hyper metallic alloy wheels and the 16-inch steel wheels.
The Kia Seltos will be available in eight trim levels. Further, there will be classification based on the transmission types. The name of the variants will be HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTK, GTX and GTX+.
The GT Line variants – GTK, GTX and the GTX+ will be available with the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine options only. The other remaining variants will get the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine options.
The Kia Seltos will be a loaded car and according to the brochure, even the base variant of the mid-size SUV will get features like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, 16-inch steel rims, all-four disc brakes, rear parking sensors, skid plates, manual AC, all four power windows, front armrest and more. The base variant also offers driver seat height adjustment, keyless entry, central locking, steering mounted audio controls, 3.8-inch 2DIN audio system with Bluetooth, 4-speakers, sunglass holder and shark fin antenna.
The top-end version of the Seltos will come loaded with features like a sunroof, Heads-Up Display, UVO connected infotainment system, 17-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable driver seat, BOSE surround sound system, high-speed smartphone charger, UV cut front glass, front parking sensors, traction control system, Blind spot monitoring, drive modes and more.
The Seltos will offer three engine options – 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. All the three engine options get the 6-speed manual transmission as standard. Whereas the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine gets the CVT transmission, 1.5-litre diesel gets the torque converter automatic transmission and the 1.4-litre turbocharged engine gets the Dual-Clutch automatic transmission as an option. The Seltos will be officially launched in the market at a price tag of around Rs 10.5 lakh.
