Kia Seltos SUV: Base HTE variant neatly modified into top-end GT Line version [Video]

Kia Seltos is currently one of the most popular mid-size SUV in the market. The SUV competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier in the segment. Seltos was Kia’s first product in Indian market and it received an overwhelming response. The SUV became popular among buyers in a short amount of time for its looks and features. The price at which it was launched also made it a winner in our market. Seltos is now a very common car on our roads and we have also seen several modified versions of the SUV. Here we have a video, that shows a 2021 model Kia Seltos base HTE variant that is neatly modified into a top-end GT Line version.

The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about all the modification that is done and will be done on the SUV. The SUV has been completely transformed from a base HTE trim to top-end GT Line version.

Starting with the front of the SUV, the base HTE variant does not come with elements. The headlights are are single projector units and the turn indicators are regular halogen bulbs. HTE variant does not offer fog lamps too. All these lights were replaced for all LED lights that are available with the top-end version. No wires have been cut for installing the lights. It is a socket to socket fitment which means, it does not affect the warranty of the car.

It also gets Kia’s signature LED DRLs that are extended to the grille. The front grille and the silver garnish around it has also been replaced for a chrome garnish that is normally seen in higher variants. The bumper on this SUV has also been replaced for a GT Line version. It now gets a silver coloured faux skid plate with red accents which give it a sporty character. They have also installed ice cube shaped LED fog lamps on this Seltos.

Moving to the side profile, the lower door cladding has been changed and he mentions that they will be replacing the steel rims on this Seltos will be replaced with Kia Seltos’ original 17 inch alloy wheels. As we move to the rear, the tail lamps have also been replaced for LED units along with the GT Line bumper. These modifications totally changed the way Seltos looks.

Vlogger mentions that the work on this Seltos was currently going on and they will be changing the manual ORVMs and make it electrically adjustable with auto fold function. For this, they will be changing the plastic trim on the door completely to accommodate the switches for ORVMs without  cutting any holes. The door pads, steering and seats will be getting leather padding and upholstery. They have also removed the company fitted music system in this Seltos and replaced it for an aftermarket unit. Kia Seltos is available with variety of engine and gearbox options. There is a 1.5 litre petrol (manual, iMT and IVT), 1.5 litre turbo diesel (manual and automatic) and a 1.4 litre turbo petrol that comes with manual and DCT gearbox options
