Kia Seltos: New teaser video of Hyundai Creta-based compact SUV released before official unveil

Kia will soon enter the Indian market official with their first product. The first product from the brand, known as the Seltos will be launched later this year and will be officially unveiled this month. Kia released yet another teaser video of the upcoming car.

The new video shows the Kia Seltos under a heavy camouflage going through various terrains. It should be noted that the Seltos has been spotted testing on the Indian roads under the same camouflage for a long time now. The video demonstrates that the Kia Seltos has been tested through various terrains and weather conditions in India, which will make it suitable for the Indian road conditions.

The all-new Kia Seltos will be launched in the coming months but the exact launch timeframe is not known. Earlier, the car was expected to be launched by the end of this year but the launch has been preponed. The Seltos will be sold in the global markets and the vehicle has already been spotted without any camouflage earlier this year while shooting for an advertisement video.

The Kia Seltos will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and upcoming Honda HR-V in the Indian market. The higher-end variants of the upcoming Seltos will also take on the likes of Jeep Compass and the Tata Harrier. Kia earlier released official teaser images of the exterior and the interior of the Seltos that shows the outline of the dashboard.

The pictures of the production version Seltos show that it looks very modern and stays similar to the SP Concept, which was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Kia Seltos gets sleek headlamps and uniquely shaped turn indicators that are placed just below the main headlamp. The Tiger Nose grille sits in the middle. The five-seater SUV also gets a floating-type roof.

Kia is expected to launch the car only with BS6 emission compliant engines as the new rule will be implemented in the Indian market next year. Kia will offer a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine options with the all-new Seltos in the Indian market.
