Kia Seltos first TVC with Tiger Shroff out

Kia Motors will soon make its official debut in India in the coming months. The Korean manufacturer has already showcased the vehicle and partially revealed the features and specifications of the upcoming SUV too. Kia has released the first-ever TVC of Seltos in India featuring Tiger Shroff.

It looks like the first part of the TVC and there will be more such TVC featuring the young Tiger Shroff closer to the launch. The Kia Seltos will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and even the lower-variants of the Jeep Compass. The Seltos will be launched in the global markets later this year but it has been developed according to the Indian road conditions.

The all-new Seltos looks very modern and gets an attractive design. There are a heartbeat-shaped DRL and uniquely positioned turn indicators that are placed just below the sleek LED headlamps of the SUV. Apart from the looks, the Kia Seltos will come with a long list of features too. To start with, the Seltos will offer quite a few first-in-segment features like connected infotainment, which is similar to the Hyundai Venue. The Seltos will also offer AI-powered voice recognition that can be used to control various features in the car.

The Seltos will get Heads-Up Display too, which is another segment-first and other features like ventilated seats, heated ORVMs, ambient lighting that plays with the beat of the music, a large navigation system, sunroof, 8-speaker system from Bose and many other such things. The Kia Seltos will also offer manually-operated rear window curtains, which is a premium feature.

Engine-wise, the Seltos will offer a long list of options too. It gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be available only with the high-performing GT Line version of the Seltos. It should be noted that the Kia Seltos will be the first car in the segment to offer four transmission options in the mass segment. Kia will offer a standard 6-speed manual transmission with petrol and diesel engine options while there will be three different kinds of automatic transmissions available with the car too. It will get a torque converter, a CVT and a dual-clutch transmission. The 7-speed DCT will only be available with the 1.4-litre GT Line version of the car. While the other combinations of engine-transmission are not known yet.

Kia Seltos will not be a 4WD vehicle but it will offer a terrain response system like the Tata Harrier. Also, there will be features like engine modes, steering modes and other such features. The Seltos is expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 17 lakh.
