Kia launched the much-awaited Seltos in the Indian market today. The starting price of Rs 10.69 lakhs, ex-showroom has surprised many. This is the first car from Kia and will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta in the Indian market. Kia Seltos HTE petrol manual, Price: Rs 9.69 lakh

The base variant of the Kia Seltos, which gets the lowest price tag comes loaded with features. The base petrol variant comes powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that generates a maximum of 113 Bhp and 144 Nm. Even the base variant offers features like all four disc brakes, all four power windows, projector headlamps, keyless entry, infotainment system with 4-speakers, rear AC vents, steering adjustment, follow-me headlamps, 16-inch steel rims with covers, shark-fin antenna, dual-front airbags, ABS+EBD, and UVO connectivity suite.

Kia Seltos HTE diesel manual, Price: Rs 9.99 lakh

If you’re looking for a variant that requires the least amount of money to operate, the diesel manual base is something you look for. All the diesel variants of the Seltos are powered by the same 1.5-litre engine that generates a maximum power of 113 Bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 20.8 km/l.

Variant for city usage

Kia Seltos HTK+ diesel automatic, Price: Rs 13.19 lakh

In the Kia Seltos range, the petrol automatic is actually more expensive than the diesel automatic. This is because the vehicle does not offer the petrol-automatic combination below the HTX variant. Whereas the diesel automatic variant is available in HTK+ variant. The diesel automatic gets a 6-speed automatic transmission and would be a great choice if you want the most affordable automatic variant of the Seltos, which will be extremely useful in the crowded city traffic.

If you are a highwayman and take on the long open stretches more than the crowded city roads, the HTK+ diesel manual variant would be the perfect choice for you. The HTX+ variant is only available with the diesel engine options and it comes loaded with features. The Kia Seltos GTK is the base GT Line variant is the most affordable version to offer the high-performance 1.4-litre turbocharged engine option. This engine produces a maximum power of 138 Bhp and peak torque of 242 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. It is a hoot to drive and the enthusiasts would love to have the manual transmission in place.

This version is for the customers who want a performance engine with performance dual-clutch transmission.
