Earlier this month, Kia Motors India unveiled their third product – the Sonet. The latest Kia vehicle is a sub-4 meter compact SUV. This compact SUV will compete with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. Kia will be launching this SUV and announcing the prices next month, For now, the South Korean automaker has officially started accepting pre-bookings for the upcoming SUV. Bookings can be made through Kia dealerships across the country or online on Kia’s official website www.kia.com/in. The token amount for pre-booking the upcoming Sonet SUV is Rs 25,000.

The Sonet will the second product after Seltos to be manufactured here in India and offered in global market. Kia will be manufacturing the new vehicle in their manufacturing facility in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh. The Sonet has a bold looking exterior with number of features like an all-LED headlamp, hearbeat shaped LED DRLs, tiger nose grille, silver faux skid plate at the lower part of the bumper, sporty looking alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, muscular rear bumper with gloss black inserts and so on.
Kia will be offering 30+ segment best features with the Sonet and the UVO connect feature will offer as many as 57 features to the user. On the inside, the car will get a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, ambient lighting, sunroof, audio system from Bose, air purifier, wireless charging,ventilated seats and so on.
The Sonet will be available in three engine options. The 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine will be available with iMT (clutchless manual) and DCT gearbox options. The 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol will be available with a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard, while the 1.5 litre diesel engine will get 6 speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options.
