Kia Sonet Concept SUV official TVC released

This year at the Auto Expo we saw the unveil and launch of many vehicles like Tata Harrier BS6, Tata Gravitas, new Maruti Brezza, Ignis and many electrical vehicles. Kia Motors India also announced the price of their second product Kia Carnival luxury MPV and also unveiled their third product Kia Sonet concept which will be launched in the Indian market later this year. Kia Motors India had released studio images of the Sonet concept earlier and now they have come up with an official video of the upcoming compact SUV.
The video starts by showing the silhouette of the upcoming Sonet. It shows the signature Tiger nose grille, the LED DRLs inside the headlights, the side profile, roof rails, black garnish on the C-pillar and so on. The production version of the Sonet will be a sub-4 meter compact SUV that will compete with cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahidnra XUV300 anf Ford EcoSport in the segment.
The video then showcases the main elements of the SUV like the alloy wheels, door handles, uniquely styled tail lights and so on. The Sonet is a good looking SUV. The bumper looks quite sporty with two silver inserts inside the air dam area above the skid plate. There is even a black garnish area in the bumper where we we would probably be seeing the ice cube shaped fog lamps. The grille, bumper, skid plates, and the alloy wheels have red inserts in them that make it look sporty.
At the rear, Kia Sonet concept gets an all-LED tail lamp which is running across the boot with Kia logo in the centre. Just like the front, rear bumper of the Sonet SUV looks sporty with reflector placed on the black bumper with silver inserts. Kia Sonet concept displayed at the expo is 90 percent production ready and will be launched in mid-2020.
It will have segment first features like ventilated seats, audio system from Bose, a large 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system along with other features like Kia UVO connect. Kia Sonet when launched will be the most affordable offering from the brand and it will get a 1.0 litre turbo petrol, 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine. It will also get a intelligent manual transmission (iMT) which allows driver to shift gear without using the clutch pedal.
