Kia Motors revealed the new brand logo earlier this year. The manufacturer that entered the Indian market in 2019 is already working to update the brand logos at its manufacturing plant and offices in India. Well, Kia will also officially introduce the new brand image to the Indian market on 27th March. Along with the new logo, Kia is also planning to introduce new variants of the Sonet and the Seltos.
We have already spotted the new and updated Kia Sonet with the new logo. Kia has started dispatching the updated vehicle to the dealerships. According to Rushlane, Kia will introduce new variants of the Sonet including HTX iMT petrol, HTX DCT petrol and diesel variants with HTX MT and HTX AT.
The new Kia Sonet HTX will come equipped with new alloy wheels. The new dual-tone alloy wheels do look quite interesting. Also, Kia will offer traction control as standard. Other features like Electronic Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Management, and Multi-Drive modes will be available with the HTX DCT petrol variant of the car.
The new Kia Sonet HTX DCT petrol will be positioned between the existing variants – HTK Plus and GTX Plus. The diesel automatic option, which was only available with the HTK+ and GTX+ will now be available with the HTX variant. This will offer more choice to the buyers.
Kia Seltos to be updated too
Kia will also introduce new variants of its first car in India – the Seltos. The car will get new variants including iMT HTK+ and Turbo GTX(O) MT. The GTX(O) manual will sit above the existing variants in the line-up to become the new top-end variant of the model.
The new GTX(O) manual will be available a panoramic sunroof which is not available with the mode at the moment. The rival Hyundai Creta offers a panoramic sunroof. Also, it will get powered by the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is the most powerful engine in the line-up. It produces a maximum power of 140 PS and a peak torque of 242 Nm.
Kia also revealed a teaser image of the Gravity Edition, which is likely to launch on 27th April. The Gravity edition is already on sale in the South Korean market and it gets a few cosmetic updates. The updates include an additional chrome-finished front grille with a new grille design. The car is also likely to come with new 18-inch alloy wheels, silver accents on the ORVMs and a newly designed rear skid plate.
While we are not sure about the engine options that will be available with the Gravity Edition Seltos, Kia is likely to offer both petrol and diesel engine options with the new variant. It is likely to be a limited edition car just like the Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition.
