Kia made their debut in Indian market back in 2019 with Seltos. Ever since then, it has been a very popular car brand in the Indian market. The manufacturer currently has Seltos, Sonet and Carnival in their portfolio. We are all aware that Kia is currently working on a 7-seater MPV for Indian and market. The MPV which is code-named KY is likely to be known as Carens in the market. The 7-seater MPV that is expected to be launched in the market is expected to be based on Seltos SUV which is a popular SUV in its segment. A set of new spy pictures of the MPV have surfaced online that shows a closer look of the car.
The spy pictures have been shared by Motoroids on their website. It looks like the test vehicle had a puncture and was trying to fix it at a roadside repair shop. The car was spotted testing in Bengaluru. The car is completely camouflaged but, some details are visible from the pictures. At the front, the upcoming MPV gets Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille and the headlamps are placed next to it.
The Kia MPV or Carens in likely to offer an all LED headlamp for the higher variants like other Kia models. LED DRLs will be integrated in the headlamp cluster and an LED fog lamp will be placed on the bumper. The lower part of the bumper might gets a lower air vent with X-shaped design to it. Coming to the side profile, the main difference one would notice here is the wheelbase. The MPV has a longer wheelbase than Kia Seltos and the MPV also has longer overhangs. The overall design of the MPV from side looks boxy which means Kia aims to generate more space inside the cabin.
