The KTM 390 Adventure has remained one of the most awaited bikes after the Austrian manufacturer officially revealed that they were working on it. Soon after the launch of BMW GS 310R in the global markets and before its launch in India, KTM announced officially that the KTM 390 Adventure will be launched next year. After several spy pictures of the bikes surfaced on the Internet earlier, a more production-near version of the prototype was caught on camera after the announcement. Here is a render that indicates how the bike will look like in real life.
The 390 Adventure will get a beak-like front design with the very identifiable LED headlamp set-up that we see on the all-new 390 Duke too. Above the headlamp, a small windscreen is placed. The headlamp assembly is fixed to the body and will not move with the handlebar, which will make it difficult to ride at slow speeds and on turns in dark.
The 390 Adventure will offer a straight riding position, which will put less pressure on the bike and will cause less fatigue to the rider on long rides. From the spy pictures, it seems that the 390 Adventure will share its same 13-litre tank with the 390 Duke. The full TFT display of the 390 Duke can also be seen on the baby Adventure. It gets ABS on both the wheels and the safety feature will be offered as standard.

Giving it the adventure properties are the upside down long-travel front forks, spoked rims and big block tyres. The bike gets a big ground clearance, thanks to the flatter exhaust. The bike will be powered by the same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum of 43 Bhp and 35 Nm on the 390 Duke. However, KTM may alter the gear ratios and engine tuning to give it a stronger low-end torque. The bike is expected to be priced above the 390 Duke but will be significantly cheaper than the BMW G310R, which will be launched later this month.
