Lexus showcased the latest version of the sedan at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show earlier this year. In terms of design, the new LS sedan looks very different from the previous versions of the vehicle. The flagship vehicle takes on the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8 L and the likes.

It will be the fourth model from the luxury car manufacturer to be offered in the Indian market. It will come to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) just like the other vehicles in the portfolio. The hybrid sedan is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that gets the support of two electric motors. Together, the car is propelled by 350 Bhp of combined power. It gets an eCVT transmission that sends the rear-wheels or all the four wheels through their new E Four electric all-wheel-drive system. It is now known if the all-wheel-drive version will come to India.

The 5.2-metre long vehicle gets a wheelbase of 3.1-metres, which gives it abundant interior space. The interiors are full of flowing design lines around the dashboard. It will be ultra luxurious with multiple screens in place of physical buttons. The cabin gets the finest leather shroud. The front passengers will get 28-way adjustable seats with heating, cooling and massage function. The rear seats are expected to get the high-spec package as standard to take on the likes of Mercedes-Maybach S500. Lexus may offer the 48-degree recline for the rear seats with various other equipment. The car also gets active noise cancellation for a quieter cabin. Lexus claims that it is the quietest LS ever made in history.
