Tata Nexon EV
The Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric vehicle in the Indian market. The Nexon EV and Tigor EV combined sold 2,264 units in Feb’22 which is significantly more than the 38 units of ZS EV that MG sold.
The prices of the Nexon EV start at Rs. 14.54 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 17.15 lakhs ex-showroom. Depending on the state, you can also get some FAME II subsidy. Tata offers the Nexon EV in three variants. There is XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux. The XZ+, and XZ+ Lux variants are also offered as Dark Editions but they do cost a bit extra and are difficult to maintain. Having said that, the Dark Editions stand out on the road and have an immense road presence.
Nexon EV gets a 30.2 kWh battery pack that powers the front electric motors. It produces 129 Ps of max power and 245 Nm of peak torque. Nexon EV has an ARAI claimed range of 312 km but in real life, you can expect around 200 km which is more than enough for your daily city needs.
