Mahindra as been working on updating their line up to meet the new BS6 emission norms and the latest vehicle to get this update is the KUV100 NXT. It is the entry level offering from the Indian brand and amid the ongoing Corona virus situation, Mahindra has silently launched the updated BS6 version of KUV100 NXT in the market. The BS6 version of the KUV100 NXT now starts at Rs 5,50,335 ex-showroom.
With BS6 update Mahindra has discontinued the 1.2 litre diesel engine option and the KUV100 is now available only with a 1.2 litre mFalcon series BS6 compliant petrol engine. The engine generates a maximum of 82 Bhp and 115 Nm of torque which is similar to the older BS4 version. The KUV is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
With BS6 version Mahindra has made some changes to the trim levels as well. KUV100 is available only in K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8 trims. Mahindra has discontinued the K2 base and K8 dual tone trims from the line up. It continues to offer the 5 seat and 6-seat configurations.
Coming back to the price of the KUV100 BS6 has definitely gone up due to the updated engine. The difference of price between BS4 and BS6 is around Rs 22,000 for the K2+, K4+ and K6+ whereas in K8 trim, the difference is around Rs 28,000.

In terms of features the KUV100 NXT is fairly equipped. It gets a seven inch touchscreen infotainment screen, steering mounted controls, height adjustable driver side seat, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, cooled glove box, dual tone alloy wheels and so on.
Mahindra recently lanched BS6 diesel version f the XUV300 compact SUV with no price hike. Similarly The Bolero BS6 version was also launched a few weeks ago. Mahindra is currently working on couple of new models like the next generation Thar, Scorpio and the XUV500. Mahindra will be soon launching the updated Mahindra Thar in the market later this year whereas the Scorpio will be launched next year. An electric version of the KUV100 was also launched in the market earlier this year. The nationwide availability of the eKUV100 is likely to happen by the end of 2020. Mahindra also has plans of launching the all-electric version of the XUV300 compact SUV next year.
