Here are fresh spyshots of the KUV100 NXT model, which reveals most of the changes. Mahindra will soon launch the NXT, a facelifted version of this vehicle. The facelifted NXT version has a few cosmetic changes on its exteriors. The interiors will be updated and a few mechanical changes to the vehicle will also be done.
Talking about the changes on the outside, the NXT version gets new front and rear bumpers. These parts have been made more angular, and from a distance, the KUV will look like a copy of the Land Rover Evoque. Both bumpers also get satin inserts at the bottoms.
These changes also improve the approach and departure angles on the vehicle. This is a good thing as the KUV100 will be able to handle rough roads better. The front grille gets chrome elements. The alloy wheels also have a new design.
The interiors get an all-black scheme on the top end variant. One more addition is a touchscreen infotainment system on the top end variant. The KUV100 will also be available as a five seater but this model will be a ‘built to order’ version. On regular models, Mahindra will continue to offer the unique six seat layout (3+3).
The mechanical changes on the NXT model will mainly have to do with the suspension and NVH. The suspension will be retuned to increase travel. This is meant to increase comfort for passengers. The NVH levels may be improved to make the cabin more silent. Since the KUV100 features 3 cylinder engines, this is another change that was needed to improve overall refinement of the car.
The engines and transmissions will remain unchanged. Both the petrol and diesel engines displace 1.2 liters and are 3 cylinder units. The petrol engine produces 82 Bhp and 115 Nm while the diesel engine produces 77 Bhp and 190 Nm. 5 speed manual transmissions drive the front wheels of the KUV. Mahindra may introduce an AMT option in future, but no all wheel drive will be added.
