Mahindra has been working on a number of vehicles quite some time. They will launch the all-new Thar later this year. One such vehicle they have been working to make BS6 compliant is the Marazzo MPV. Mahindra had recently updated the MPV and silently launched it into the market. Mahindra Marazzo currently competes with MPVs such as the Maruti Ertiga, XL6 and Toyota Innova Crysta. The price for BS6 version of Mahindra Marazzo now starts at Rs 11.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Marazzo BS6 MPV will be available in three trims only. It will available in M2, M4+ and M6+ trims. The M8 will not be offered anymore. In terms of styling nothing has changed in the BS6 version of Marazzo. It will get cornering lamps, follow-me-home headlamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, front and rear fog lamps, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat, lumbar support, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, reverse parking sensors and camera with adaptive guidelines.

It has not gained any new feature but, it does loose on couple of them. The BS6 version will miss out on features like leatherette seats, cooled glove box, cruise control and power folding ORVMs. Mahindra Marazzo has not changed anything in terms of design on the outside and inside. The Mahindra Marazzo M2 trim is now priced at Rs 11.25 lakh, ex-showroom, M4+ trim is priced at Rs 12.37 lakh, ex-showroom and the M6+ trim costs Rs 13.51, ex-showroom.
Nothing has changed in the car under the hood. It uses the same 1.5 litre, four cylinder diesel engine that generates 121 Bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a manual gearbox. Mahindra does not offer an automatic transmission with Marazzo at the moment but, an AMT gearbox option with diesel engine version is expected to be launched in future. Apart from that, Mahindra might also introduce a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine in Marazzo.
It will the same engine from mStallion series that was launched at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The engine will generate a maximum of 160 Bhp and 280 Nm torque. This petrol engine will be available with a manual and an automatic gearbox option as well. The Marazzo is a MPV that slots in between the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta in terms of pricing. It’s almost as large as the Innova Crysta while being a lot cheaper.
