Mahindra Marazzo MPV’s top-end features revealed through a new spy video

The Indian automotive scene is abuzz with new and upcoming launches. One of the most awaited car launches among them is of the Mahindra Marazzo. The vehicle has been spotted multiple times during its testing phase. It is being developed on a completely new platform and has the largest footprint of any Mahindra vehicle in the market currently. Recently YouTube user VasaikarUttam posted a spy video of the new MPV, revealing its top-end features.

As seen in the video, the model featured here is the top-of-the-line variant. It gets striking dual-tone alloy wheels, projector headlamps and LED daytime running lights. The front grille also gets chrome inserts and LED taillights. The Marazzo is being developed on a new platform as mentioned earlier. Also, a completely new 1.5-litre diesel engine will make its way as the powertrain.

The new motor is likely to develop around 121 hp and 300 Nm of torque. A six speed manual gearbox will take care of the transmission duties. A petrol engine will also be offered later on. The engine will deliver power to front wheels only but international markets could get an AWD option as well. Also, it will be BS VI compliant as per the new government rules.

Talking about the interiors, it will get a dual-tone piano black dashboard with a pearl white and chrome finish. A purple-themed instrument cluster with 3D light guides will also make the interior look good. Other features include a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, auto climate control, leather seats, and roof AC with Surround Cool Technology. Expect the quality to be top notch, as Mahindra is trying really hard to succeed in the MPV segment.

Price range of the Marazzo is expected to be somewhat in between the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta. Mahindra will try to keep the base variant under Rs. 10 lakh for it to be competitive. The Marazzo is being jointly developed with help from Mahindra’s foreign Research and Development wing as it will be a global product. Mahindra is going the extra mile for this vehicle and if it’s placed strategically in the market, this could be a big win for the company.
