Mahindra Marazzo MPV’s variant details LEAKED

The Mahindra Marazzo MPV is days away from being launched in India. The MPV is expected to be priced and positioned between the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta. Prices of the Marazzo are likely to start from under Rs.10 lakhs. Autocar reports that the MPV will be sold in four variants: M2, M4, M6 and M8. All variants will be diesel powered, and will get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

The diesel engine in question will be an all-new, 1.5-litre unit putting out about 125 Bhp-300 Nm. The monocoque bodied Mahindra Marazzo sold in India will be front-wheel driven. Airbags and ABS will be standard across variants, and the MPV will meet Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) crash test norms. Here’s a walkthrough on the variants that the Marazzo will be sold with.

The M2 variant will offer an engine immobiliser, ride on 16-inch steel wheels, have fabric upholstery, power windows, central locking, 12V power socket, USB charging for rear passengers, a manual AC and roof mounted AC vents. The M4 variant will add plastic wheel caps, a shark fin antenna, seat height adjust for the driver, USB power socket for the front row, Mahindra voice alert system, rear wiper with wash feature and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

The M6 variant will add 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps at the front and rear, projector headlamps, cornering lamps, remote keyless entry, sunglass holder, center console with Tambor door, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, reverse parking sensors, emergency calling and steering-mounted controls.

The top of the line M8 variant will feature 17-inch machined alloy wheels, LED DRLs, art leather seats, dual USB charging ports for front and rear passengers, puddle lamps, cooled glovebox, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity for the infotainment system, cruise control, reverse camera, automatic climate control and electrically foldable wing mirrors. Going by the feature set that will be on offer, the Mahindra Marazzo seems to be quite a loaded offering. Sharp pricing will ensure that the MPV has a good chance of succeeding. The price announcement will happen on the day of launch, on the 3rd of September.
