Mahindra Scorpio Classic compared with all-new Scorpio N on video

Mahindra launched their brand new SUV Scorpio N recently. Mahindra launched the SUV at an attractive price tag and the price for all the automatic variants will be announced soon. Mahindra Scorpio N will be sold along with the original Scorpio or the Scorpio Classic SUV. The Scorpio N is positioned above the older model and offers a lot more in terms of safety, features and comfort. Bookings for Mahindra Scorpio N has already started and it has received an overwhelming response from the customers. Here we have a video where a vlogger compares the old generation Scorpio with Scorpio N in terms of size and takes the Scorpio N for a test drive.

The video has been uploaded by Waquar Chaudhary on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger is seen visiting a Mahindra dealership to make booking for not one but three Mahindra Scorpio N SUVs. He even takes the SUV out for test drives. He came to the dealership in an old generation Scorpio SUV. Vlogger takes a look at the display car inside the dealership. He feels that the interior of Scorpio N is premium when compared to the older generation but, it is not as premium as XUV700 or Toyota Fortuner.

He shows the push button start, instrument cluster, armrest, space under the armrest, glove box, touchscreen infotainment system, audio quality and even the seating comfort. Two people can sit comfortably on the second row seat, third person might be a squeeze. The driver side seat is electrically adjustable but it does not get memory function like XUV700. He also mentions that the third row seat is ideal for children and not adults. He also mentions that Mahindra could have offered a bigger sunroof in the SUV.

Once he had taken a closer look at the car, he took the petrol manual version of Scorpio N out for a test drive. In comparison to older generation Mahindra Scorpio, the Scorpio N gets both petrol and diesel engine options and it generates more power and torque as well. The petrol version is powered by by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that generates 200 Ps and 370 Nm of peak torque. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission option. The diesel version of Scorpio N gets a 2.2 litre turbocharged engine which comes in two states of tune. The engine generates 130 Bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque in lower variants while the higher variants generate 175 Ps and 370 Nm of peak torque in manual and 400 Nm in automatic versions.

Vlogger was very happy with the performance. He does not talk much about the gear shifts or any other aspect in the video. He then brings the SUV back to the dealership and asks his friend to park the Scorpio next to the Scorpio N. The Scorpio Classic looks slightly taller than the Scorpio N and the vlogger personally felt that the older generation looks better in terms of look. His friends who accompanied him to the dealership also had a similar opinion.
