Mahindra Scorpio N and Toyota Fortuner in a comparison video

Mahindra finally unveiled their all-new SUV Scorpio N in India. They also unveiled price of the manual petrol and diesel variants of the Scorpio N. Dealerships across India have started accepting the booking and test drives have also started in some cities. We are starting to see a lot more videos related to Scorpio N on the internet. These videos are not the review and off-road videos that we already saw last month. These are comparison videos. We have seen videos where the Scorpio N is compared with Scorpio classic and other SUVs. Here we have one such video where Mahindra Scorpio N is compared with a Toyota Fortuner.

The video has been uploaded by Rajni Chaudhary on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about different aspects of both the SUVs. She talks about the design, price, features and also the space. Video starts with the pricing. Toyota has been increasing the price of Fortuner and Innova Crysta for some time. If a person wants to buy the top-end variant of Fortuner, then he or she will have to spend over Rs 50 lakh. On the other hand, Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to be priced at around Rs 25 lakh for the top-end diesel automatic. Mahindra is yet to announce the price of the automatic variants. Vlogger mentions that, Toyota may feel a bit more overpriced when compared with Scorpio N but, both SUVs have their own customer base.

Toyota Fortuner has been ruling the segment for a very long time and even after increasing the price, people are preferring Fortuner because of its reliability, low cost of maintenance and refinement. The Mahindra Scorpio N is also very refined but only time will tell if it is as durable as the Fortuner. After the pricing, vlogger talks about the dimensions, the Fortuner is slightly longer but Scorpio N offers longer wheelbase and is wider and taller than the Fortuner.

Personally, vlogger liked the exterior design of the Toyota Fortuner. She calls Scorpio N’s design premium and Fortuner edgy or sharp. Both SUVs are different in many ways. The exterior design is a thing that some would like of Scorpio N while others would like Fortuner. She however liked the alloy wheel design on Scorpio N and also mentions that the rear design looks extremely premium on Scorpio N. Both SUVs have a good road presence.

When it comes to features, vlogger mentioned that if you are a person who is looking for a feature loaded SUV then Mahindra Scorpio N is a good option. Toyota offers features but, it is not as loaded as the Scorpio N. Mahindra is offering a long list of safety and convenience features as well. Toyota Fortuner comes with a bigger capacity engine when compared to Scorpio N. The diesel version of Fortuner is a lot more powerful than Scorpio N diesel.

Both SUVs offer decent amount of space. Even in third row, vlogger managed to sit comfortably but, she mentions that Fortuner offered slightly more space at the third row seat. Scorpio N also misses out on AC vents for third row passengers. Overall, she calls Scorpio N a value for money product and mentions that it all comes to the budget of the buyer. If the budget is around Rs 50 lakh, then Fortuner is the best option and if it is below that, then one should consider Scorpio N.
