Mahindra Scorpio-N: Deliveries of Z4 trim commence

While Mahindra launched the Scorpio-N in June 2022, only the higher-spec Z8 L variant was prioritized for deliveries to the customers. However, with the increase in production, Mahindra started producing the lower-spec variants as well. Now, the UV maker has started delivering the mid-spec Z4 variant to the customers who had booked the variant. A few pictures of customers taking deliveries of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z4 variant have surfaced on the Facebook groups of the SUV.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z4 variant is available with two powertrain options, which are the same as that in the top-spec Z8 L variant but in different states of tune. The 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions here, with the maximum power and torque outputs capped at 175 bhp and 370 Nm respectively. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine here in the Scorpio-N Z45 variant claims 203 bhp of maximum power and 370 Nm of maximum torque, while being available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options.

While a rear-wheel-drive system comes standard in the Z4 variant, the diesel-manual version of this variant is also available with the option of a four-wheel-drive system. However, it misses out on the drive modes offered in the 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive system available in the top-spec Z8 L variant of the SUV. While the Z4 petrol prices start at Rs 13.49 lakh, the same for the Z4 diesel commences at Rs 13.99 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
